Limestone Cove Market

This old-time neighborhood market has been a landmark in the Limestone Cove community for decades. Part community center, part local convenience market, Limestone Cove Market, in its heyday in the 1950s, won an award for selling the most Pepsi-Cola in East Tennessee. Time has changed the exterior, but the interior of the old market still carries all the basic food staples and candy and soft drinks, as well as unique food items such as pickled eggs, pickled sausage, and locally grown vegetables. You can also find flashlights, duct tape, rain tarps, motor oil, mosquito repellant, fans, and propane. Limestone Cove Market also serves hand-made sandwiches and sells bologna and cheese by the pound. The store also offers gasoline – the only gas station located in the Limestone Cove community on Hwy 107 as it makes it way to the North Carolina line.
