Appalachian Christian Camp

Founded in 1930 as Camp Canaan, Appalachian Christian Camp was the first Christian service camp in East Tennessee. Affiliated with the East Tennessee Christian Convention, the non-profit ACC has operated since 1961 as a non-denominational Christian summer camp for youth entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. Camp programs begin at the end of May, continuing throughout the summer, ending the first week in August. Programs and activities include leadership training, outdoor adventure course elements, swimming and fitness - with a gymnasium featuring an indoor rock climbing wall, and team sports utilizing ACC’s ball field and outdoor basketball court. Camp accommodations feature air-conditioned dormitories and a lodge, as well as an open-air worship center. Facilities, including public spaces and a fully-equipped kitchen, are available for hire for meetings, special events and retreats in the off-season.
