Telamon Corporation

Since 1965, the non-profit Telamon Corporation has provided supportive assistance nationwide to seasonal farm workers and their families, low-income and elderly residents, and children of poverty - offering social service programs such as Head Start, employment training, housing, and opportunities for young people to participate in the community. The Telamon facility in Unicoi serves the local agricultural migrant and low income-based population July through October, offering a Head Start program for children ages birth-5 years, hot meals, transportation, translation services, an on-site family specialist, a health specialist, as well as guidance in applying for public assistance.
