Specialty Tires of America, Inc.

Specialty Tires of America Inc., a subsidiary of Polymer Enterprises, Inc., based in Indiana, Pennsylvania dominates a 48-acre land tract in the Town of Unicoi. Specialization in niche markets has been the key to success for Specialty Tires, known for its production of high quality, bias-ply products such as underground mining tires, classic tires for collector cars, bumper tires for amusement parks, as well as specialty tire products for the national and international market. Opened in Unicoi in 1996, Specialty Tires of America, Inc. employs some 150 workers. The company was originally founded in 1915 as McCreary Tire and Rubber Company.
