Sewing Connection

Lesia Willis first learned to sew at age 8 on her grandmother’s old treadle sewing machine. She has been a professional seamstress for more than 23 years, first working at Red Kap Industrial Garment Company in Erwin. In 2008, Lesia decided to go into business for herself and today offers custom sewing and alterations for pants, dresses, skirts and jeans, children’s clothes, as well as custom draperies (lined, pleated, and balloon), wedding dresses, original wedding veils, and original, slip-covered foot stools designed by Lesia. Sewing Connection provides sewing lessons for both adults and children and fabric for sale on a consignment basis.
