Model A Mac’s, an antique automobile restoration company, was begun in the 1960s by Mike McIntosh’s Dad, the late B.E. McIntosh. Mike’s own passion for 100-year old car parts became a reality in 1987 when he gave up a full-time job as a tool and die maker to go into business with his dad. Since the beginning, this unique company has developed quite a diverse clientele of antique car collectors ranging from California to Maine and all over the South. Model A Mac’s has even served as a frequent resource for the film industry. Currently one of Mike’s vintage 1920 Chevrolets is getting screen time in George Clooney’s 1920s-era film Leatherheads. Mike McIntosh specializes in the restoration of Model T’s and Model A’s, as well as other vintage collectible autos made prior to 1980.
