Buffalo Valley Performance Horses

Buffalo Valley Performance Horses specializes in the training, breeding, and sale of American Quarter Horses registered by the American Quarter Horse Foundation. Co-owner Mark Bradwell comes to the business with 25 years experience as a professional horse trainer. His job includes the progressive training of these elegant show horses in the art of working cattle by accomplishing the performance of spins, rollbacks, lead changes and sliding stops. The 24-acre Unicoi farm site, which includes barns, pasture, and training rings, as well as the satellite breeding farm in Roan Mountain, TN, can accommodate some 30 horses at any given time. Riding lessons for the general public are also available. Additionally, co-owner Kim Rutherford is also a breeder of Australian Cattle Dogs, better known as red and blue “healers.”
